the attic

It's raining outside and I retreat to the comfort of the attic.  If you've read Little Women by Louisa May Alcott then you know that Jo loved to sneak up to the attic and write her stories that brought such joy to their little family.
I have lofty visions of remodeling our own attic with beautiful gabled ceiling, white washed paneled walls and narrow windows.  It, of course, must have antique furniture repurposed to hold all sorts of lovely craft supplies.
I see baskets of alpaca wools for knitting socks, mittens, and hats, baby soft merino wool for the grandbabies,
and wooden knitting needles at the ready filling vintage flower vases like freshly cut tulips from the garden. And on the adjacent wall there would be a counter high cutting table filled with projects ready ....

Soon, I'll be posting some photos of past and present projects.  I'll tell you now, that I currently have 3 quilts that I'm working on .. all at a different phase of completion.  So much color, so many projects! How could my craft space possibly stay tidy???

I hope you enjoy the link to my handwork Pinterest board :  happy hands! happy hearts!!
